Manual Osteopathy utilizes a hands-on approach to assessment and treatment that includes structural (bone and joint), myofascial (muscle and fascia), visceral (organ),
and cranial-sacral approaches to care. Practitioners seek to address the cause of the pain or dysfunction, not just the area in which it presents, and are reliant on a detailed
knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Traditional osteopathic philosophy demands that the body be addressed as an integrated unit, and as such the goal of treatment is to restore the natural, healthy integrated state of structures within, while respecting all components of the patient. Whether seeking relief from pain, restoring mobility, or optimizing overall health, individuals can benefit from the individualized care provided by manual osteopathic
practitioners.

Olivia holds a Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Science (MOMSc) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), a Type 1 institution, where she completed over 4,200 hours of education, including 1,000 hours of clinical training. She is a member in good standing with OSTCAN, and her treatments can be billed through many insurance providers. She offers a holistic and principle-based approach to Osteopathy that allows her to view the body uniquely and tailor treatment to each person’s needs at the time of each appointment.

Olivia understands the body as an integrated unit of function, and her treatments mirror this through her principled-based approach. She addresses the root cause of her patients’ concerns, understanding that the body has a collective relationship. Her treatment aims to restore motion and symmetry between all tissues by assessing the patient’s full-body movements and applying gentle tissue manipulation. She focuses on promoting the body’s self-healing abilities that allow the body to build up immunity, vitality, and strength throughout the treatment plan. Olivia treats individuals of all ages with specific complaints: acute & chronic issues, those seeking a general “tune-up”, youth from ages 12-16, children from ages 5- 11, and pregnant women in their second & third trimesters.
